White Wedding

I went to the wedding yesterday. It was so much fun! It was held at a plantation home which made for a beautiful (and very Cajun!) wedding. The ceremony was held outside: it was cold, windy, and you could hear cars driving by which made it hard to hear what was going on. At least it was nice and short! After that we went through the home and out into a courtyard area which had a really cool fountain in the middle of it while we waited for the photographers to finish with the family pictures. We were starving by then so we attacked the appetizer tray people for their food. Then we went inside and had the reception dinner. I thought that we would have a while to eat, so I only got a small sized plate of food, but after about ten minutes the band started playing and we all started dancing. I'm sure we all looked like total idiots, but it was fun! I danced with all of my relatives, who were really entertaining dancers. Towards the end the older women started dancing more crazily (probably thanks to some liquid courage) and my cousin and I hung out with my second cousin's brothers as we watched them and laughed. Then after that we went outside in the night after doing a New Orleans esque dance line and stood in two lines on either side of the door. We lit sparklers and held them up as the couple took their first walk out into the world together as man and wife. They both looked really happy. Congratulations Alex and Charlene!
